## Counting Employees with a date range

I have the folling sample Data below.
What I need in colum C is the count of records per month per employee.
What would the formula look like? Thanks in advance!

Hi Marc,

IMHO, this will  be confusing, why not create another table with the employees and the months.

Employee   1  2  3  4
Marc
Betty
Sheila

And then use

=SUMPRODUCT((\$A\$2:\$A\$10=\$D2)*(MONTH(\$B\$2:\$B\$10)=E\$1)

With A2:A10 the employees as recorded
B2:B10 the dates
E1 ...
E12
The months as figure in the new table.

Run CHKDSK
• Go to the Start button.
• In the Search box, type "cmd" (without quotes) and press Enter.
• At the command prompt, type "chkdsk /r /f" (without quotes) and press Enter.
