Hi, I place the heading Description, Source, Weight, Unit, Rate and Amount for Table 1 from A2:F2 and similar heading for table 2 from H2:M2.
My Summary heading from O2:T2.
In Q3, which is the Weight under Summary, =SUMIF($A$2:$M$2,"Weight",A3:M5)
Drag this down, depending on how many descriptions you have.
See is this is what you mean and want.

The formula can be re-written as =SUMIF($A$2:$M$2,"Weight",A3:M3) if the previous one fulfil what you need.
